- Bathe your pet regularly with a flea and tick shampoo.
- Apply products like Frontline, Advantage, or Revolution directly to your pet’s skin. These treatments kill fleas and ticks on contact and provide month-long protection.
- Give your pet oral medications such as Bravecto, NexGard, or Simparica, which kill fleas and ticks and prevent infestations. These are typically administered monthly or every three months.
- Use collars like Seresto, which release small amounts of active ingredients that kill and repel fleas and ticks for up to eight months.

- Apply flea and tick control products in your yard, focusing on shady areas and places where your pet spends time.
- Keep pets away from tall grass, wooded areas, and heavy underbrush during peak tick season.
- Use flea and tick preventatives throughout the year, as these pests can survive indoors even during colder months.
